Welcome to Tempe Junior Crew (TJC)!

Tempe Junior Crew is Arizona’s premier co‐ed junior rowing program. It was established in 2002 for young men and women (ages 13-18) who row on Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. Since its inception, Tempe Junior Crew has competed successfully at local, regional, national and international levels. Our alumni often continue rowing competitively in college, and several have earned significant scholarships to do so. Our boathouse is located at 620 N. Mill Avenue in Tempe (SW corner of Mill and Curry), next to the Marquee Theater. Follow Tempe Junior Crew on Facebook (tempejuniorcrew), Twitter (@tempejuniorcrew), and Instagram (@tempejuniorcrew).

Upcoming Rowing Programs

» Team membership registration for the Tempe Junior Crew fall 2015 season is now closed. Registration for our spring 2016 rowing season will begin in December.

If you are interested in joining our rowing team and do not have any rowing experience, we will be holding an Intro to Row session on December 12-13. Attending this rowing program will fulfill the requirement of prior rowing experience to be eligible to join our team. Contact Scott at membership@tempejuniorcrew.org for signup information for the session and on how to join Tempe Junior Crew.

» Intro to Row Sessions: We currently have a session scheduled for Sat./Sun., Dec 12-13. Download flyer.

» Rowing Camps: Tempe Junior Crew has weekly rowing camps for kids during the months of June and July. These camps are a great way to immerse new and existing rowers in art of rowing, and give them the opportunity to greatly increase their core strength and overall fitness. There is no better way to enjoy summer rowing in Arizona!
