Tempe Junior Crew (TJC) High School Affiliation Program

TJC has launched a broad high school affiliation initiative that the TJC Board of Directors has elected to pursue. The Brophy College Preparatory (BCP) affiliation is the first step of this initiative, but is just the start. This initiative is being pursued to stabilize the TJC membership numbers, support fundraising activity, and above all grow junior rowing participation in the Valley. In the recent past we have approached several high schools that exhibited interest in the concept to help the TJC recruiting efforts “penetrate” productive sources of new junior rowers. BCP is the first in this initiative – owed in large part to the reality that a large percentage of our recent and current men’s team attend BCP, and the tremendous energy that current BCP parents have put behind the initiative. In fact, BCP athletes have been a relatively large proportion of our men’s team since TJC’s inception. We are very interested in expanding the high school affiliate program and are actively seeking others based on the BCP model.

If you have questions regarding the TJC High School Affiliation Program, or wish to form a new affiliation at your high school, please contact either Steve Pritulsky, Board President at sprit61@cox.net or Robin Milne, TJC Booster Club Recruiting Chairman at r4milne@cox.net.
